With the ongoing recent case of coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we understand that some of our clients have concerns with upcoming travel plans and we would like to reassure you that Namas Adventure members will always put all our clients and employees, health and well-being first. We are constantly monitoring situations on the ground from our offices in Nepal and other partnering areas. It is our job to ensure that you have the most up-to-date information on the regions you are traveling into, to help keep you safe and make your decision easier.

I would like to remind all our travelers that are taking upon a brave decision to travel during this much-needed time, your travel contributes to the communities by bringing economic benefits, installing hope, and can change lives for some. We are always committed to improving lives and inspire hope/positivity through adventure travels.

2022 Destination COVID travel policies?

Nepal


Peru

  • Commercial international travel started on 5 October within the Latin American region.

  • If you travel to Peru on a commercial flight, you will need to show proof of a negative result from a COVID-19 PCR (molecular) test taken 72 hours before your flight.

  • If you show symptoms of COVID-19 upon arrival in Peru, you will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days.


What is coronavirus?

At Namas Adventure we never claim to be an expert on the subject matter outside of our expertise and with the continually changing nature of the situation, we ask that you visit the World Health Organization Website for the latest information and guidance.

What should you do prior to travel?

The situation with COVID-19 is constantly changing and the decision based on is constantly being updated. We also recommend that you check with your airline to ensure that there have been no changes to schedules and to check if you need to reroute your flights. We recommend that you check your government’s travel advice for all countries that you are intending to visit and that you check for any health advice specific to COVID-19 issued by your government before you leave for your trip. We would also advise you to check with your travel insurance provider that your government’s travel advice does not invalidate your travel insurance.

2022 departures, will it go ahead as announced?

Yes, we are positive and looking ahead for 2022 departures. New travel rules and regulations will be in place from different destinations and airlines.

What happens if I want to change/cancel my tour?

Should our clients wish or want to make changes we are offering to transfer your adventure tours/expeditions to the next departures. Or we can offer refunds while deducting the permit fees and other unrecoverable charges. (t&c applies on permits)

What if you experience symptoms consistent with COVID-19 during your tour?

Should you display symptoms of respiratory or flu-like illness whilst on tour, the following steps are to take place.

  • Your guide will provide assistance in finding appropriate medical care based on local healthcare guidelines. If you do experience symptoms of respiratory or flu-like illness and you have been to an area that is affected by COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has been affected by COVID-19.

  • Very important that you isolate yourself immediately, do not start or continue any journey, advise local health care authorities and your insurance provider of your situation and notify your embassy.

  • Your guides will provide assistance accessing these resources as necessary.

How can you reduce the risk of catching Coronavirus?

The World Health Organization offers comprehensive Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Advice for the public. They offer recommendations on how to protect yourself against the new coronavirus and when and how to use masks.
