Responsible. Ethical. Sustainable

  • Since 2016, we have raised the minimum wage of all our hardworking porter team to $20 (Per load 30kgs) + guaranteed tips at the end of the trip. The minimum wage they receive in our industry is $12-$15 per load. (Nepal)

  • We hire local guides to create local jobs that benefit the local economy. As our expedition grows we plan to run training programs and knowledge-sharing programs between local and international guides.

  • Provide higher personal gear weights than other companies and also extra dry foods during the climbing days.

  • We are not the biggest company and we choose to operate in small groups a max of 8 - 10 since we found it the right fit where customers can enjoy the group, get to know each other and our staff can pay attention to each guest's safety and enjoyment.

  • Investment in the use of high-quality gear on our adventure tours and expeditions.

  • No, to any animal cruelty entertaining activities. (i.e Elephant rides, baths, or circus tours)

  • Explore the remote adventure destinations, help promote the lesser-known destinations, create an additional source of income for locals and take travelers to remote destinations. since exploration is what we do. :)

  • With the ongoing issues of waste being left on Everest and other mountains, we are committing to a high-altitude porter (1:3 ratio) to bring down our waste from our Everest expedition operation. This is one of our initiative to reduce our waste footprint and further build on our tactics to tackle the waste left in the mountains.

Current ongoing Project “Let’s get the shit out” 2023 - 2025

Our commitment to sustainability and being a responsible expedition operator. We are on a mission to clean 🏔 Baruntse base camp 5460M from 2023 (Fall) to 2025.

How do your bookings help us on this project? - From each booking (2023 onwards) $50 (6000M), $100 (7000M), and $200 (8000M) will be contributed to this project.

It is sad to see remote untouched areas of the Himalayas being polluted and filled with expedition members’ waste. We are so used to posting the beauty of mountains and the inspirations of great climbs but ignore the other reality. Cans, glass bottles, plastics, and waste are all over the base camp sites. It is left there wishing it somehow magically disappears. If not taken care of the situation will only get worse. Baruntse base camp has been a magnificent home for our team members. We are partly to be blamed for this as we have been running expeditions since 2021 in this magnificent mountain peak.

So as of the 2023 expedition (autumn), our team will actively take part in cleaning/collecting the waste products and also setting up a waste collection area at the base camp so that there is a dedicated waste management site at the base camp. We estimate that it will take us 1 season just to set up the waste collection area and another 3-4 seasons just to clean up all the mess from the base camp. This will be an addition to the investment we allocate for this 3-year project.

Rock and stones will be used from the base camp to set up the waste collection area and waste will be transported to SPCC. (Sagarmatha pollution control committee). We hope other operators in the region can join us and work together in keeping our mountains clean.

More details to follow after each expedition. Join us on this mission.
