Trip Leadership
All of Namas adventure activities are lead by experienced IFMGA and Local certified professional guides. With our commitment to responsible tourism choose the best guides from the local country or work partners who adhere to our guidelines. Thus trips, anywhere in the world are always lead by experienced certified locally trained guides. Our trekking guides have an average of 10+ years of leading guiding experience with deep understandings of the local network, culture, and landscapes. When considering the demands of the trip, we select the best and most appropriate leader for the task.
Our central aim is to help you attain your personal adventure/expedition goals while experiencing the best of our planet's beautiful destinations, unique cultures, and environments. We aim to offer the highest quality adventure tours and expeditions at a great value while focusing on our primary goals: safety, success, enjoyment of your adventure holiday, and recreation. Our adventures and expeditions strive to set the highest standards. We also prioritize the wellbeing and safety of our teams, being responsible for the environments we operate in, respecting culture, contributing to local economies by employing regional partners and paying them higher than the industry standard or influencing higher pay when we feel the market has underpaid the working staffs and working in a self-sufficient and self-reliant way. Passionate about delivering exceptional adventure travel experiences, I am dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of service. My role revolves around ensuring our team is proficient and consistently upholds our brand promises and values, turning your adventure dreams into reality. Born in the Himalayas (Nepal), I am an ardent adventure enthusiast with a penchant for introducing thrilling experiences to our clients. Actively engaged in our adventure missions, I’ve had the pleasure to be engaged in our missions to Annapurna IV 7525M, Baruntse 7129M, Himlung Himal 7126M, 3x Mera Peak 6476M, Island Peak 6189M, Lobuche East Peak, Chulu West and many other treks in the Himalayas.
KAMI TEMBA SHERPA - ASPIRANT IFMGA/NMA GUIDE
Kami T. Sherpa, a distinguished leader at Namas, hails from the Thame region and has deep roots in the mountains. Possessing strength, humility, and exceptional leadership qualities, Kami is a guiding force for our members and team. NMA certified & IFMGA guide, Kami boasts an impressive track record of summiting renowned peaks such as Everest, G2, Manaslu, Annapurna IV, Lenin Peak, Ama Dablam, Himlung Himal, Cholatse, and various other 7000M and 6000M summits. His adept leadership has been instrumental in safely guiding our team through challenging expeditions. Noteworthy is his excellent command of the English language.
PALJOR SHERPA - NMA GUIDE
Paljor Sherpa, a former monk who transitioned to become a guide, stands as an exemplary addition and a driving force within our team. His unwavering commitment to learning, leading, and inherent humility make him an invaluable asset. He has notable achievements, including route fixing at Annapurna IV, Himlung Himal, Ama Dablam, several 6000M peaks, and Everest South Col. Paljor is renowned for his remarkable strength and unwavering dedication as a guide. His patient demeanor, coupled with the courage to assume leadership during challenging situations, makes him an invaluable team member. Hailing from the Thame region, Paljor is a certified guide by the NMA.
PEGA SHERPA - ASPIRANT IFMGA/NMA GUIDE
Pega Sherpa is a highly skilled and respected mountain leader. Originally from the Phortse region of Khumbu, he holds certifications from both the IFMGA and NMA, showcasing his expertise as a certified guide. With a commendable summit record, Pega has successfully led expeditions, including eight summits of Everest, two of Lhotse, Baruntse, Ama Dablam Express, Cho Oyu, Putha Hiunchuli, Cholatse and various 7000M and 6000M expeditions, guiding numerous teams and members to their goals. Noteworthy is his excellent command of the English language, coupled with his remarkable strength and proficiency in mountain environments.

Wayne Auton - Critical Care Paramedic and Expedition Medic
Former Royal Marine, Wayne is our high-altitude expedition medic. With his extensive experience of climbing around the world (Arctic Plateau Norway, Kyrgystan, Antarctica), and also works as a mountain rescue personnel in the UK.
Wayne shares a passion for mountaineering sport, mountains, and skiing. Wayne works with our team on special projects, organizing medic-based training programs to improve our guiding team members, and can be enquired by our client members on their expeditions.
Lakpa Sherpa (Nepal) - Operations and logistics Manager
Lakpa Sherpa serves as the linchpin for coordinating our operations in Nepal. His birth into a Sherpa family comes with inherent advantages, offering valuable connections within the mountaineering community. Over time, he has cultivated significant relationships with local figures in the Khumbu region, ensuring the seamless execution of all our ground operations. Lakpa's standing in the industry allows him to curate the finest Sherpa teams, enabling exceptional experiences for our exclusive tours, trekking adventures, and expeditions.
Having the right team of Sherpa support team is a key integral part of any of our successful expedition. On any given expedition and trekking Namas Sherpa team perform important roles as climbing guides or expedition leaders, fixing ropes on the mountains, organising gears and building camps, leading the assisting team, looking after the clients safety and well being and many other key jobs.
