Your adventure begins with a thrilling 45 minute to lukla then trekking through a scenic route via the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. You trek across beautiful valleys, dense forests and rivers before reaching the renowned viewpoint of Kalapatthar and then to Everest Base Camp. You will also have time to explore the colourful and frenetic capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Alongside its breathtakingly beautiful terrain, Nepal is also home to a multitude of fascinating cultures and friendly people, both of which you will be able to experience first-hand.

When is the best time to trek/visit Everest Base Camp?

The best time to trek/visit Everest Base Camp is during Spring ( March - May ) or Autumn ( Mid Sept - December) on any given year. Trekking during June - August is highly not recommended due to monsoon season in Nepal, bad whether conditions and possibility of lots of flight cancellations.

How tough/difficult is Everest Base Camp trekking?

Everest Base Camp is classed as a novice/beginners trekking route. However, you will need to be in a good shape physically (read out training for trekking blog post). If you never have been exposed to high altitude before then elevating slowly is recommended which we follow in all our itineraries. It will be challenging for all novice trekkers but the fitter you are the more you can enjoy the trek and your holiday.

Everest Base Camp with helicopter?

Yes, when it comes to helicopter services for Everest base camp there are a range of possible options. You can do a 1 day heli flight tour to Everest view point/base camp or trek up to Everest base camp and return back to Lukla or Kathmandu on a helicopter. Everest Base Camp alternative/extension treks?

Everest base camp being the most famous trail welcomes global travellers all over from the world. You can definitely expect traffic on the normal route. How ever if you happen to choose alternative/extended routes “Gokyo trek - 20 days” or “Three pass treks - 22 days ” then there will be less travellers in that route and still visit Everest base camp.
