Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Trekking peaks like Island Peak and Mera Peak require a good base fitness level — the ability to hike 6–8 hours daily for multiple consecutive days at altitude. No prior technical climbing experience is necessary, as we provide full training during the expedition.
We provide a full gear list upon booking. Climbing hardware (harness, crampons, ice axe) can be rented from us. You will need your own hiking clothes, a sleeping bag rated −20°C minimum, and personal items. Our pre-departure briefing covers everything in detail.
The two primary seasons are Spring (March–May) and Autumn (October–November). Both offer stable weather windows and clear skies. Spring has longer daylight hours; Autumn offers post-monsoon crystal visibility. We run expeditions in both seasons.
Yes — comprehensive travel and helicopter evacuation insurance is mandatory for all expeditions. Your policy must cover rescue to 6,500m altitude minimum. We can recommend trusted providers at the time of booking.
Both options are available. We run scheduled group departures for popular peaks throughout each season — ideal for solo travelers. Private expeditions can be arranged for any peak on preferred dates, subject to permit availability.
