FAQ's
Who is this journey for?
This trip is for people who want to experience Nepal in a slower, more meaningful way. It suits travellers who are interested in culture, wellness, spirituality, nature, and light adventure rather than a physically demanding trekking expedition.
Do I need trekking experience?
No. You don’t need any prior trekking experience. The walking involved is easy to moderate, mostly short hikes and gentle walks. The focus of the journey is not technical trekking but cultural exploration, wellness, and travel through different landscapes.
How physically demanding is it?
The pace is relaxed throughout. There are a few walks at altitude in Upper Mustang and some short hikes in the hills, but plenty of rest days and comfortable travel between destinations are built into the itinerary.
What kind of accommodation should I expect?
You will stay in a mix of carefully selected properties, including a 5-star hotel in Kathmandu, boutique hotels and lodges throughout the journey, and a wellness retreat at Kavya Resort. The idea is comfort, rest, and good locations rather than basic trekking accommodation.
What is Chitwan like?
Chitwan is Nepal’s lowland jungle region and feels completely different from the mountains. It is warm, green, and full of wildlife. The area is known for Chitwan National Park, where you can see rhinos, deer, crocodiles, and, if lucky, even a Bengal tiger. It is also home to the Tharu community, whose village life and culture you will experience during your stay. The pace here is slow and grounded, with time spent in nature, on the river, and in the forest.
What is Upper Mustang like?
Upper Mustang is one of the most unique parts of Nepal. It feels very different from the rest of the country, with ancient monasteries, caves, walled towns like Lo Manthang, and strong Tibetan influence. It is quiet, remote, and culturally very rich.
What wellness activities are included?
Wellness is part of the journey throughout. You will have yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, spa treatments, massage, reflexology, and quiet reflective sessions in different locations such as riversides, mountains, and retreat settings.
Are meals included?
Yes, three meals a day are included during the trip. You will also have tea or coffee with breakfast each day and a farewell dinner in Kathmandu at the end of the journey.
How big are the groups?
The groups are kept small so the experience stays personal and easy to manage. This also allows more connection with guides and a better overall pace during the journey.
Can I join as a solo traveller?
Yes, many people join on their own. The trip is designed to be welcoming and comfortable for solo travellers. If you prefer your own room, a single supplement applies.
How do we travel between places?
All transport within Nepal is included. This includes private vehicles for road journeys and domestic flights where required, such as into and out of the Mustang region.
Why is Upper Mustang included in the itinerary?
Upper Mustang is one of the highlights of the trip because it offers a rare chance to experience a preserved Himalayan culture. It feels very different from the rest of Nepal and adds a deeper cultural layer to the journey.
Are permits included?
Yes. All required permits, including those for Upper Mustang and national parks, are arranged and included in the program.
What should I pack?
You will need comfortable travel clothing, light hiking layers, warmer layers for the mountains, and basic personal essentials. A detailed packing list is provided once you confirm your place.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, travel insurance is strongly recommended and should include medical cover, trip interruption, and emergency evacuation.
How do I secure a place?
You can secure your place by confirming your booking with a deposit of USD 500 per person. The remaining balance is paid before departure.
